These actually should have gone with Empire State Post, but I'll just add them here...super quick elevator, our ears popped several times going up & down. The observatory is on the 86th floor, and I believe it took under 2 minutes.
Headed back down....
Gotta try on the Statue of Liberty crowns in the gift shop! And, of course, the lego model I said everything famous had!
Love this one! At Times Square! We had so much extra time after the Empire State Building, we decided to take a small detour by Times Square on our way to dinner. The very center is pedistrian only, no through traffic, so you can just stand there & take it all in. It was pretty much exactly like I imagined - bright, busy, bustling.....cracks me up that Kyla is taking in the view instead of looking at the camera :)
We took the bottom left photo for Nathan; many times Kyla would comment about "Oh, Nathan would love this!" or something like that, or want me to take a picture of something for him. We walked through with either Bob & Amanda in front or Sue & I in front, with Anna & Kyla holding hands in the middle & it worked great. Far right bottom, the New Year's Eve ball, right above the 2012.
Sweet girls!
Huddling to keep warm at an intersection! The stereotypical hot dog/pretzel stands! That was on Kyla's 'wishlist' of things to do (along with a million other things, of course, although I do think we did every.single.one of them!) and so we did eat hot dogs one day from the cart. And I do have pictures too, of course.
Largest store in the world, Macy's.
This bowling pin advertisement thing kept tapping Kyla on the shoulder & then backing away playing with her. Hard Rock, Good Morning America, and the NYPD all right there too......
Interesting walk!
How exciting!!!!! I watch GMA every single morning. :)
